How often can you refill Zepbound (tirzepatide)?
How often you refill your Zepbound® prescription depends on your prescribed dosage and the refill allowances set by your insurance provider. Zepbound is available in two different forms- autoinjector pens or vials. Both the autoinjector pens and vials come in 6 different doses that are typically increased on a monthly basis, beginning with weekly 2.5 mg dose until reaching the maintenance dose which can be up to 15 mg. Once you've stabilized on a specific dose, your medical clinician may prescribe refills at three-month intervals (equivalent to 90 days) if appropriate. However, depending on your insurance you may only be able to fill one month at a time while other insurance plans prefer patients to get a 90 day supply.
