When Should I Take Contrave (naltrexone/bupropion)?
You should take Contrave® according to the following schedule:
- Week 1: one tablet in the morning daily
- Week 2: one tablet in the morning daily and one tablet in the evening daily
- Week 3: two tablets in the morning daily and one tablet in the evening daily
- Week 4: two tablets in the morning daily and two tablets in the evening daily
Note that if you are having trouble tolerating a higher dose, you should reach out to the prescriber to discuss the next best steps. If you find you are having a hard time remembering to take your medication twice a day, discuss this with your medical provider as it may be recommended to make a change to your medication.
