What If I Miss a Dose of Contrave® (Naltrexone/Bupropion)?

If you miss one dose of Contrave® likely you will not experience any adverse effects other than possibly having more of an appetite or cravings for certain foods. It is recommended that if you miss a dose you should resume at the next scheduled dose and do not double up on doses. Taking more Contrave than recommended by your healthcare provider may increase your risk for seizures. A Contrave prescription, at its maximum dose, is taken as two tablets twice daily. If you have missed more than 1 dose of the medication, please contact your medical provider for advice on how to proceed.
