Does Ozempic (semaglutide) come with needles?
Yes, in each box of Ozempic® there will be needles that you can use with the pen. The 0.25/0.5 mg pen contains a total of 6 needles so that you could do 4 weeks of 0.25 mg weekly and 2 weeks of 0.5 mg weekly to use all of the medication in the pen. The 1 mg and 2 mg pens contain 4 needles as they provide a 1 month supply (4 doses) of 1 mg and 2 mg weekly, respectively. If it’s your first time using the needle, first remove the paper tab, then push the needle straight onto the pen and twist to tighten. Then pull off the outer needle cap and followed by the inner needle cap which will expose the needle.
