How Long Does Zepbound Stay in Your System?

Zepbound™ stays in your system for approximately 30 days after you stop the medication. This is based on the half-life of the medication which is 5 days. The half-life is the time it takes for half (50%) of the drug to be removed from your body. Keep in mind, the 5 day half life is an estimate and it may vary from person to person. Due to its long half life, Zepbound prescriptions can be administered once weekly. If you miss taking your Zepbound dose, administer the missed dose as soon as possible within 4 days. If it has been more than 4 days, skip the missed dose and administer the next dose on your usual injection day. You should not take two doses of the medication within 3 days of each other. Also, if it has been more than 2 weeks since your last dose, please consult your prescribing medical clinician before resuming use.
