How Can I Get Zepbound?

If it is medically appropriate, Zepbound™ may be prescribed by a medical clinician such as a physician or advanced practice provider (e.g. physician assistant, nurse practitioner) under the supervision of a physician. Zepbound is FDA-approved for weight loss in adults with a BMI of 30+ or BMI of 27+ with a weight related medical condition such as sleep apnea or high cholesterol, and it is to be used in combination with a healthy diet and increased physical activity. This medication requires careful assessment of your medical history, contraindications, review of side effects, risks and benefits, and a thorough discussion with your provider as to whether or not it is right for you prior to starting. You should also be closely monitored for side effects while taking this medication which involves routine follow ups with your prescriber.

If you are prescribed Zepbound, the next step is to find out whether or not the medication is covered by your insurance. You can learn more here. For those without insurance coverage, the Zepbound manufacturer coupon can help lower the out of pocket cost of the medication for those who are eligible.

Some medical practices and pharmacies sell compounded versions of Zepbound (tirzepatide) and other injectable weight loss medications. These are not the same as the FDA-approved medications and there are considerable safety risks involved when using compounded medications. You can read more about this from the Obesity Medicine Association. FORM does not prescribe or recommend using compounded weight loss medications.
