How Do I Know When My Ozempic (Semaglutide) Pen Is Empty?

To know when your Ozempic® pen is empty, twist the dose counter (located at the end of the pen) to your prescribed dose. For example, if you are trying to inject 1 mg and cannot turn the dose counter to the number 1, then there is insufficient medicine left to administer the full dose and you should switch to a new pen. Ozempic has 3 different types of pens: 1.) the 0.25/0.5 mg pen which can administer a total of 4 doses of 0.25 mg plus 2 doses of 0.5 mg or 4 doses of 0.5 mg, 2.) the 1 mg pen that contains 4 doses of 1 mg, and 3.) the 2 mg pen that contains 4 doses of 2 mg.

Ozempic® is a registered trademark of Novo Nordisk A/S.
