Disclaimer: The content made available on The FORM Website represents the views and opinions of the authors and not those of other entities, such as the manufacturers of products mentioned therein.

Unless otherwise advised by your medical provider, most people can drink alcohol in moderation while taking Mounjaro. Keep in mind that some of the side effects of Mounjaro may be worsened with alcohol intake (e.g. nausea, reflux, stomach upset). Discuss your alcohol consumption with your medical provider as there may be other reasons to not drink alcohol while on Mounjaro prescription based on your medical history. For example, if you are taking other medications to treat diabetes and combine them with alcohol, it may lead to a dangerously low blood sugar level (hypoglycemia). As Mounjaro can lead to weight loss, this may also reduce your alcohol tolerance.
